Privacy policy

What happens to your details when you request a driver from Twara Kigali. Last updated: .

1. Who is responsible

Twara Kigali is operated by Eddy Kayiganwa, Kigali, Rwanda, who decides how your details are used. For any privacy question or request, email kayiganwa04@gmail.com or call +250 787 195 677.

2. What we store when you request a driver

When you send the booking form we store your name, phone number, pickup location, destination, when you want to be picked up, and any notes you add. If you arrived by scanning a venue’s QR code, we record which venue it was. We also record the time you accepted our terms and which version of them you accepted.

If you press “Use my current location”, your phone shares its position once and it is stored with your request. This is optional. We do not track your location before or after that moment, and you can remove the shared position before sending.

We do not ask for your email address, identity documents, vehicle registration or payment details.

3. Why we use it

Your details are used only to arrange the trip you asked for: choosing the closest available driver, telling that driver where to collect you, and contacting you about the trip. We rely on your consent, given when you tick the terms box, and on the need to provide the service you requested. We do not use your details for marketing and do not sell them.

4. Who can see it

Twara Kigali dispatch staff see your request in a password protected dashboard. The driver assigned to your trip is emailed your first name and the pickup place and time. When you meet and give them your booking reference, they also see your full name, phone number, destination and notes, until the trip ends. Our hosting provider stores the data, and our email provider delivers the driver’s email, on our behalf. Nobody else receives it.

After you send a request, you get a private booking link. Anyone who has that link can see the trip, its status and, once one is assigned, the driver’s name and phone number. It does not show your name or phone number. Do not share the link with people you would not share the trip with.

5. How long we keep it

Completed and cancelled bookings, with every detail listed above, are deleted 180 days after they finish. When that happens the booking link stops working. A booking that is still open is kept until it is completed or cancelled.

6. Browser data and third-party services

The public website sets no cookies and does not store your form entries in your browser. It has no advertising trackers or analytics. Loading any website sends technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to the servers that deliver it, and hosting providers may keep security logs.

This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser also connects to Google to request those files. External websites linked from our pages have their own privacy practices.

7. Venue QR codes

A venue QR code opens the booking page with the venue’s code in the link, so the pickup can be filled in. The code itself holds no personal details.

8. Your rights

Under Rwanda’s law on the protection of personal data, you can ask to see the details we hold about you, to correct them, or to have them deleted before the 180 days are up. You can withdraw your consent, although we will then be unable to complete a trip that has not happened yet. Contact us using the details in section 1 and give your booking reference if you have one.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
